blazar core
Roadmap · updated 8 October 2026

Where Blazar Core is going.

A living plan, shaped by what composers ask for. Plans change as we learn; nothing here is a promise of a date.

NowBeing built or polished right now.
Beta feedback

Fixes from the first testers

Exports, Kontakt loading, the playhead and Event horizon got the first round in 0.3.6. Every report that comes in is looked at first.

Mac

The Mac on par with Windows

Checking on real Macs what was built on Windows first: Kontakt key colours, Native Instruments library folders, and unlocking from the demo.

Kontakt

Instrument names in Kontakt Player

Reading which instrument Kontakt Player shows, as already done for full Kontakt, so its tracks name themselves and keep their key switches.

NextPlanned for the coming releases.
Libraries

SINE Player instruments from the browser

Pick an instrument in SINE Player, and Blazar Core names the track and remembers it in the Programs tab, as it does for Kontakt.

Effects

Comet and Wake

A swell engine that turns a track's own sound into a whoosh with a climax, and a reverb whose atmosphere travels into the next chord. Both are being finished.

Mac

Audio Units on the Mac

Hosting AU instruments and effects beside VST3.

Installing

Signed installers

No SmartScreen or Gatekeeper note on the first launch.

LaterOn the horizon. Order may change.
Mixing

Surround and immersive

A multichannel engine with surround panning, beds up to 9.1.6 with binaural monitoring on headphones, then objects and ADM export for Dolby Atmos.

Articulations

Articulation presets

Key switch sets saved and shared per library, ready before you play a note.
