Getting started
Install Blazar Core on Windows or the Mac, activate it, set up your audio interface and MIDI keyboard, and find your way around the window.
Chapter 2Projects, saving and templates
Start and open projects, save numbered versions, recover autosaves, and reuse your setups as templates and track presets.
Chapter 3The arrangement
Work with tracks and folders, the rulers, the playhead, locators and loop, the grid, the editing tools, clips and containers, and the hold-Q edit menu.
Chapter 4Recording
Arm and monitor tracks, record audio and MIDI with a count-in, loop-record and comp takes, and let Blazar Core take care of latency.
Chapter 5The piano roll
Open MIDI containers in the piano roll, write and edit notes across several tracks, and quantize, humanize or align them to the click.
Chapter 6Audio editing
Trim, fade and crossfade audio clips, set clip gain, warp audio onto the grid, process clips from the edit menu, and edit in Melodyne through ARA.
Chapter 7Instruments, Kontakt and the browser
Load VST3 instruments, drag Kontakt programs into the arrangement, learn key switches, compensate slow patches, save memory with Cryosleep, and play sounds with the Kilonova sampler.
Chapter 8The mixer
Balance your tracks with faders, gain trim and linked faders, add insert effects and sends, blend effects with Morph, use the built-in channel strip, and read loudness on the master.
Chapter 9Automation
Draw and record volume automation, record any plugin control into its own lane with Touch, Latch or Write, and automate the Morph orb.
